Steven J. Roth, Interim Director

Steve has been a counselor and teacher for East Bay SBDC since July 2006 and was asked to serve as the Center's Interim Director in January 2008. He has developed 20 different seminars covering a wide range of topics and has counseled over 100 small businesses since joining East Bay.

Prior to his role in East Bay, Steve had been a Venture Capital and Private Equity Investor, Entrepreneur, Corporate Executive and Consultant with specific expertise in Food & Beverage branded products, Consumer Sporting Goods, Retailing, e-commerce and Web Marketing and building long-term Brand Equity.

Steve has an MBA with Distinction from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration in 1976, a BA degree in Mathematics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1970 and was a member of the Faculty at both the Harvard Business School and the University of Massachusetts.

Fredrick D. Ohlrich, Interim Lead Consultant

Rick has been a counselor for the East Bay SBDC since October of 2006 and was asked to assume the role of Interim Lead Consultant in January 2008. In his new position Rick is responsible for being the primary point of contact with new clients, matching them to the best resource for their needs from inside or outside the SBDC and working with the Counseling Team on professional development.

Prior to joining the East Bay SBDC, Rick has sepnt over 20 years involved in new product development, new product introductions, many aspects of sales, sales management and marketing and in developing new sources of revenue for new products and services.

Rick has an MBA from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration in 1974 and earned a BSIE degree from Purdue University in 1970.
