Helen Rodriquez

Ms. Rodriguez brings to her consulting services experience and hands-on knowledge of small businesses and non-profit organizations.

After earning a Harvard MBA in 1976, she worked for a large consulting firm specializing in strategy development and strategic marketing & communications. Her clients varied from large Fortune 500 companies with manufacturing concerns to small vineyards trying to develop a brand.  That experience wet her appetite for hands-on work with strategy and long range planning. She eventually headed up in-house planning departments for large companies.

Ms. Rodriguez went one step further creating hands-on experience and ended up starting her own business venture, from seed concept to IPO development, as well as developing a 501C non-profit that focused on education and the environment.  Both of these entrepreneurial experiences involved international communities, brand strategies, private-public partnerships, leveraging of communications/media, cross-over marketing, managing cultural impact on strategy, the use of endorsements, and successful business development and fundraising.

For the non-profit world, Ms. Rodriguez has served on boards for nearly a decade. She focused attention on community building, issues of diversity, and capital campaign strategies.

Ms. Rodriguezʼ passion for strategy over the years led her to publish articles in newspapers and business journals. At one time, she was the West Coast editor for a European based business journal. She believes as well in cultivating international communities/experiences and has lived in Brazil and Paris.  She worked also as a Foreign Service officer at the U.S.I.S. in Washington, D.C.
