Robert Lane is a former Deputy for Small Business with the Dept of Defense where he administered and audited the Small Business Subcontracting Program. After 33 years of federal service Robert retired and accepted a position with the State of Nevada’s Commission of Economic Development as a Procurement Specialist, and then came back to the Bay Area as the Marketing Director for the Procurement Resource Center in Oakland. 

In his years of servicing the small business community, Robert has helped countless number of small businesses and those firms have received more than $210 million in contracts in the last 15 years. Robert is now a Consultant with the Solano County, Contra Costa County, and East Bay Small Business Development Centers and the Federal Technology Center. 

He also has taught small business management courses at various community colleges in the Bay Area.
