The County of Alameda GSA is responsible for the provision of space through lease, purchase, or construction of buildings for a wide variety of departmental functions, ranging from general office space for various departments to office and public areas needed by the Superior Courts, detention facilities, and medical facilities. GSA maintains and operates County-owned buildings and Veterans’ buildings. It is responsible for the central purchasing of a large variety of goods and services for County departments, as well as for providing Countywide telecommunications services via the County’s telephone systems and 800Mhz radio systems. It also provides motor vehicle fleet service, printing, property salvage and disposal services, and is responsible for childcare programs, environmental management services, sustainability and recycling programs.
