(Intermediate FETA) Operations, COGS, & ROI

The East Bay SBDC and the Alameda County Community Development Agency offer a free 10-part intermediate series on “Food Business Entrepreneurship” for FETA/FBETA Foundation Workshop graduates. In this series, you will explore in-depth various food entrepreneurship topics that can help you improve or grow your business.
Eligibility and How to Sign Up:
Participants will need to register for each session at www.eastbaysbdc.org.
Registering for one class you are automatically registered for the entire series.
Space is limited. No Cost to Attend.
Program Requirements:
Participants must attend eight of the ten sessions to earn a Certificate of Completion. To meet the attendance requirement, participants must attend the entire duration of the class.
We will notify accepted participants with Zoom information for the classes. Please do not share your link.
Intermediate Series Workshop Schedule:
Classes will be held Mondays and Wednesdays, October 25 – November 29, 2021, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

Session 2: Wednesday, October 27th HR & COVID-19 Compliances
Session 3: Monday, November 1st Bookkeeping Setup & Understanding Financial Statements
Session 4: Wednesday, November 3rd Managing – Team, Daily Activities, Inventory & Cash Flow
Session 5: Monday, November 8th Operations, COGS, & ROI
Session 6: Wednesday, November 10th Customer service: Staff training and Developing Company Values
Session 7: Monday, November 15th Marketing and Communicating
Session 8: Wednesday, November 17th Brand Image: How to Build Your Brand
Session 9: Monday, November 22nd Long Term Sustainability: Preparation & Forecasting
Session 10: Wednesday, November 29th Ohlone Career Education Programs & NorCal Restaurant Program
The instructor will address business efficiency. They will focus on customer patterns, processes, and standards. They will also look at seasonality and work distribution, along with product cost and standardization.
