About Me:

Alan is an entrepreneur, educator, and business mentor who started his career in the hospitality industry, where he became an assistant manager of a Marriott hotel, then was part of starting and growing two small businesses, one of which went public in 2000. Alan joined the SoCal SBDC in 2003 as a business advisor and spent over 20 years creating success stories with his clients. He became a champion of start-ups for 9 years, got yearly awards for capital injection, created and retained jobs, and the State Star Business Advisor Award in 2016.

In 2022, Alan joined the NorCal SBDC as a regional assistant director to continue pursuing his passion for helping small businesses start and grow. Alan is currently a contracted advisor with a couple of Northern California SBDC centers.
